Currently, the most promising renewable energy source in Italy is wind.
To achieve the objectives of reducing green house gasses and polluting substances, set out in the Kyoto Protocol, on a National level a big increase in wind generation is envisaged, which should pass from the current 2.700 MW to over 22.000 MW of capacity by 2020.
The WinBis project rightfully enters into this process. Each wind tower in the farm generates 6.5 million kWh of green energy per year and, thereby, saving emissions into the atmosphere of over 125.000 tons of climate changing gas (CO2) and from other various pollutants by fossil fuel production.
